Privacy Policy for RenewExit
Overview
RenewExit is a manual subscription tracking app. It helps you keep track of subscriptions, free trials, renewal dates, reminders, and cancellation guidance.
You enter subscription information yourself. RenewExit does not require an account or login, does not connect to your bank account, and does not access your email inbox.
Information Stored on Your Device
RenewExit stores subscription information locally on your device. This can include:
- Service name and optional custom name
- Price, currency, and billing period
- Renewal dates and free-trial end dates
- Reminder preferences
- Notes
- Cancellation and access-end status
- Selected service artwork or logo data
- App appearance, currency, reminder-time, and App Lock preferences
This information is used to provide subscription tracking, totals, reminders, upcoming renewal views, exports, and cancellation tracking inside the app.
App Search and Artwork Lookup
When you use the app search while adding a subscription, RenewExit sends your search text and relevant storefront or locale parameters to Apple’s iTunes Search API to find matching apps and services.
Apple may return app metadata and artwork URLs. RenewExit may download artwork from those URLs to display a service image and may store that artwork locally with your subscription record.
These requests are made only when you use the search feature. Apple and other external providers handle requests according to their own privacy practices.
Notifications
RenewExit can schedule optional local notifications to remind you about upcoming renewals or free-trial end dates.
Notification permission is managed by iOS. You can change notification permission at any time in your device settings.
RenewExit does not use a developer-operated server to send reminder notifications.
App Lock
If you enable App Lock, RenewExit uses iOS LocalAuthentication, such as Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode, to protect access to the app.
RenewExit does not receive, store, or have access to your biometric information.
Exports
You can choose to export subscription data as CSV, JSON, or a PDF summary.
Exports are created only when you start the export process. RenewExit uses the iOS share sheet, and you choose where to share or save the exported file.
External Cancellation Links
RenewExit may open Apple subscription management, provider websites, support pages, or a browser search to help you find cancellation guidance.
RenewExit does not cancel subscriptions on your behalf. Any cancellation is completed directly with the relevant provider or through Apple’s subscription management tools.
External websites and services are governed by their own privacy policies.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your tracked subscription data remains on your device until you edit or remove it.
You can remove all locally tracked subscription data from RenewExit by using Settings → Clear tracked data. This removes locally stored subscription records and related reminder data from the app.
Clearing tracked data does not change your device-level notification permission or other system settings.
Support Messages
When you contact support by email, we use the information you include in your message to respond to your request and provide support.
Support messages may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, maintain support records, or meet legal obligations.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when RenewExit changes or when legal requirements change. The latest version will always be available on this page, together with its effective date.
